I’ve always been involved in fitness in one form or another since I was 16. As a child I was a very active kid running around like a typical, energetic boy. But to be honest, I was not always healthy. From the ages of about 20-28, I was at my absolute unhealthiest. Even though I worked out hard lifting weights, my diet was terrible, eating and consuming anything that came my way. I thought I was young and invincible so I wasn’t too concerned about my poor eating habits and a lack of cardio. So I started to gain some undesirable weight that went mostly to my face and my gut. One of my friends told me that my face got so big and round that it looked like my nose disappeared! It was not a pleasing site. The doctors were not much help either, telling me that there was nothing I could do but to take medications for the rest of my life. 

So, here I am in my early 20’s, with high blood pressure (I mean real high 160/110), under multiple medications, with a gut and a bloated face, and the doctors telling me that there wasn’t much I could do except take those medications.  They didn’t ask me about my diet or my physical activity or my family history or anything like that to get to the root cause. So I knew I had to take action on my own and I needed to do it fast to battle these health issues before it got worse.

This was the point where I focused on what logically made sense to get my health back in order. I began incorporating cardio into my workout routine and improving my nutrition. The results certainly did not come over night but I slowly started seeing results. I knew if I really wanted to make a change that I needed to dedicate and commit myself to a healthy lifestyle. Eventually, after a few years of intense cardio workouts and consuming more nutritious whole foods, I was able to get off ALL my medications! I never did tell the Doctor that I lowered my BP without any medications. I probably should have to let him know that it is possible. I can honestly say that now, at 45, I am the most fit and healthy as I’ve ever been. I know if I could do it, anyone could do it.

We know that there are many folks out there that are in a similar situation or in a more serious predicament. Know that your body has an amazing ability to heal itself and you can do it through proper nutrition, physical activity, and proper rest/sleep. Here’s a disclaimer though: we are not guaranteeing or saying that we can cure your disease, cancer or other physical condition. But we can help you improve your health and well being. If your poor diet and lack of physical activity got you to where you are, well, certainly you can believe that good nutrition, adequate physical activity and good rest/sleep can get you to where you want to be. It is never too late to start improving yourself. But it will be harder to reverse the condition the longer you wait.

Because fitness is my passion and I see too many people suffering unnecessarily, I decided to go all in and started a Evolution Bootcamp to help as many people as I can. This is what I am dedicating the rest of my life to: to help people achieve their fitness goals so that they can actually live life fully and not to just merely survive life, barely.
